The next title by Sony to hit PC shores is the much-acclaimed Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, developed by Insomniac Games. The game was initially released back in 2021 on PlayStation 5. Rift Apart will launch via Steam and Epic Games Store on July 26.
The PC version is being developed by the talented team at Nixxes Software. This porting studio has previously worked on PC versions of other Insomniac games, like Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and its spin-off Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Even though Rift Apart is less than two weeks away, details about the PC version are still scarce. A few hours ago, the system requirements of the game were posted and then quickly removed. The specs mentioned are quite intriguing, especially the fact that the game can run on HDD.
The HDD support comes as a surprise since Rift Apart is known for rapid loading and changing game worlds almost instantly. It will be interesting to see how Nixxes deal with slower storage devices.
Minimum Specs (720p @ 30 FPS with Very Low Preset)

- RAM: 16 GB
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
- Storage: 75 GB SSD Space
Keep in mind that these requirements were quickly taken down by Sony. There's a very good chance that some of the details aren't accurate. We should expect more info very soon as the official game launch draws near.
Sony has proved its seriousness about the PC market. Last year alone, the PlayStation owner released half a dozen of its exclusives on the master race. Although no more first-party games have been confirmed for Microsoft Windows, we think they are still on the way. Many PC fans are patiently waiting for Demon's Souls Remake, The Last of Us Part 2, and the ever-elusive Bloodborne.
