A new update has been released for The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross which launches the New Year Festival 2023. Like most updates, there's a bunch of new content like a new playable character and new rewards, among others.
Who's the newest character? It's none other than [Cursed Shackles] Purgatory Meliodas, who should be familiar to the fans of the anime show. He joins the roster as a Dark Attribute Hero. Players can unlock this new hero through the New Year Festival 2023 Poll Draw. [Cursed Shackles] Purgatory Meliodas is guaranteed at 900 loyalty points.
He’s not the only character that players have the chance to get from the Poll Draw. There are also:

- [Twisted Darkness] Berserk Estarossa
- [Holy Warrior] Traitor Meliodas
- [Restored Memories] Elizabeth of Eternal Rebirth
Here's the list of events that players can join:
- New Year 2023 Lucky Raffle Drum:
- Three chances to use a raffle drum are provided every day for players who complete a mission.
- A total of 7,777,777 Diamonds are available for the entire player base worldwide.
- The first class earns 1,000 Diamonds.
- New Year 2023 Check-in Event:
- Players who check in to the game for 28 days can receive as many as 300 Diamonds.
- New Year Festival 2023 Roulette Event:
- Players can spring the wheel and earn rewards including an event costume, event artifact, and event [New Legend] Demon Meliodas.
- The related special currency can be earned by playing the game.
- New Year Festival 2023 Event Boss Parade:
- A different event boss appears every week for a chance to earn the special event costume, event artifact, and more Diamonds.
- The first week features boss Malek.
- Boss Kimara is going to be featured on the second week while boss Baruja makes an appearance on the third week.
- New Year 2023 Event Artifact Wish Draw:
- Earn existing event artifacts by entering the Artifact Wish Draw for a chance to earn an artifact card, with chances increased if 3 cards are registered in the wish list.
- Additional Content Updates:
- Chapter 25.5 and new Holy Relics like Foreign Swordsman Nanashi and Wanderer Thonar have been added to the game.
